NJBMDA names new officers

The New Jersey Building Material Dealers Association (NJBMDA) announced its slate of officers and board of trustees. 

Keith Coleman of Hamilton Building Supply will serve as president for 2013 and 2014. Steve Gerard of Black Millwork Co. is VP, and David Bernstein of Mid-State Lumber is treasurer.

CFO retires at Valspar

Valspar Corp. has announced the retirement of Lori Walker, the company’s senior VP and CFO. Walker joined Valspar in 2000 as assistant controller, was promoted to VP and controller in 2001, VP treasurer in 2004, and has been Valspar's CFO since 2008.

NBMDA announces new board members

The North American Building Material Distribution Association (NBMDA) has announced it new board of directors for 2012. Paul Vella of Atlantic Plywood will serve as president, with Michael Darby of Capital Lumber Co. in the president-elect position.

The remaining officers are VP Donald Schalk of C.H. Briggs Co.; treasurer Robyn Pollina of Palmer-Donavin Mfg. Co.; and immediate past-president Brian Schell of Parksite.
