New sales leader for Mr. Bar-B-Q

Old Bethpage, N.Y.-based Mr. Bar-B-Q named Wendy Sender as national sales manager.

As Mr. Bar-B-Q’s national sales manager, Sender is responsible for adding new retailer partnerships, enhancing current relationships and overseeing overall brand positioning for the more than 40-year-old organization.

California Faucets hires national sales manager

California Faucets has hired Steven Weinberg, the former president of the Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association (DPHA), as its new national sales manager. Weinberg will be based on the East Coast, giving the Southern California-based company a bi-coastal presence, the announcement said.

Weinberg served as the president of DPHA since 2010. Prior to that, he owned The Glassmith Shop in Summit, N.J., a high-end decorative plumbing and hardware showroom and one of the earliest innovators of frameless shower enclosures.

Duracell charges into the generator category

Las Vegas -- Eastern Tools and Equipment unveiled its line of Duracell generators to the home improvement market during the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.

The familiar copper-colored equipment represents a deal about a year-and-a-half in the making, and follows some long negotiations with Procter & Gamble, which owns the Duracell brand.
