John Menard, founder of Eau Claire, Wis.-based Menards, celebrated the upset victory at the Brickyard 400 with his son at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The win was the first for Paul Menard, after 167 races.

A Home Depot store in Concord, N.H., reopened late on Jan. 24 after a pick-up truck drove through the wall of a local residence and landed in the living room. According to the story in the Union Leader, the driver of the pick-up lost control of the vehicle on a 90-degree curve in the road and plowed completely through the living room wall. The occupants of the home -- a man and his 7-year-old twin daughters -- escaped injury. But they needed to repair the damage enough to get through the night.

Towson, Md.-based DeWalt has signed an agreement with Richard Petty Motorsports to sponsor Marcos Ambrose, driver of the No. 9 Ford Fusion, for the 2011/2012 Nascar season.

The No. 9 car will now brandish the DeWalt logo, which will alternate between the hood and quarter-panel during each race of the 2011/2012 Sprint Cup season.
