New Ulm, Minn.-based Shelter Products launched a Therma-Tru door line called Elegant Entrys. Shelter Products will be carrying the complete line of entry and patio doors manufactured by Therma-Tru in their Indiana facility.  

Shelter Products says it believes its relationship with the Therma-Tru Door company is unique, and that they will become the premier distributor of this product.

Do it Best Corp. concluded a week-long, intensive leadership training development program for a selected group of managers and leaders from among its member-owned stores.

The inaugural Leadership Development Institute (LDI) was held Nov. 12-15, at the co-op's Fort Wayne, Ind., headquarters. Twenty-three attendees took part in the training.

According to Do it Best, vendors on the 25-category list “provide the best product offerings and pricing to keep our member-owners competitive.”

True Value Co. announced the addition of its newest affiliate member, Family Farm & Home.

Headquartered in Muskegon, Mich., with a warehouse in Grand Rapids, Mich., the chain will bring its wholesale buying for 27 existing stores in Michigan and Indiana to the co-op, effective Nov. 1.

Zeeland Lumber and Supply has announced plans for a full-service yard and manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Ind.

Zeeland, Mich.-based Zeeland Lumber Holdings, the parent company of Zeeland Lumber and Supply, is expanding into Northern Indiana with a distribution center, lumberyard and manufacturing facility.

Whirlpool Corporation employees will be working alongside Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County and students at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., on the construction of a new home this fall.

The new home is being built for Chris Schaaf, a champion golfer in the Special Olympics, in a new neighborhood amongst other Whirlpool-sponsored Habitat homes from the previous three consecutive years.

The event will also serve as an informal recruitment opportunity for Kelley School of Business students.
