Louisiana-Pacific Corp. announced that Archie W. Dunham retired from the board of directors at the annual meeting of shareholders as required by the mandatory retirement age in the bylaws. 

Dunham has served on the board since 1996 and during his tenure served as the chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee and was also a member of both the Compensation Committee and Executive Committee. He is the former president and CEO of Conoco.

The Home Depot is announcing the nomination of Wayne Hewett for election to its board of directors during its 2014 annual meeting of shareholders.

Bonnie Hill, the board's lead director, will not stand for re-election; the company's corporate governance guidelines require directors to retire upon reaching the age of 72 by the end of the calendar year preceding the annual meeting. Gregory Brenneman has been selected to succeed her as lead director.

Lowe's has named former Wellpoint CEO Angela Braly to its board of directors, the company announced Friday.

“As former chair and CEO of a publicly traded company, Angela has strong executive leadership and strategic management skills that will be an asset to this board,” said Robert A. Niblock, Lowe’s chairman, president and CEO. “She also brings a wealth of experience and insights in critical areas such as consumer marketing, communications and public relations.”

Wolf received the state’s highest honor -- the Sachem Award for leadership and character -- hand-delivered by Governor Mike Pence.

The unexpected departure of Robert Dutton, CEO of RONA for the last 20 years, has breathed new life into the possibility that Lowe’s will finally get its hands on Canada’s largest home improvement chain. Dutton stepped down on Nov.  9, two months after he and his board of directors fended off a takeover by Lowe’s. Dutton said he had new initiatives in store for the Boucherville, Quebec-based RONA, which put in a poor performance in its last quarter.
