BlueLinx sells California DC

Building materials distributor BlueLinx has announced the sale of its distribution center in Newark, Calif., in a Sept. 20 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The 235,000-sq.-ft. warehouse sold for approximately $17.7 million.

BlueLinx adds new engineered lumber products to software solution

BlueLinx has announced that its onCENTER Engineered Lumber products are now included in the product library of MiTek's Sapphire Structure software.

With version 7.3.5 Service Pack 1, released June 28, 2012, users of Sapphire Structure can now specify onCENTER BLI Joists, onCENTER LVL and onCENTER Rim Board, and the MiTek Single Member Design Engine will analyze each member using material properties provided by BlueLinx.

BlueLinx partners with Weyerhaeuser in New England

Atlanta building products distributor BlueLinx has announced an agreement with Weyerhaeuser to become the independent distributor of Weyerhaeuser's engineered wood products in New England, including Trus Joist, TJI joist, TimberStrand LSL, Microllam LVL, Parallam PSL and TJ Rim board. The agreement is effective Feb. 13, 2012.
