Perrysville, Ohio-based Mansfield Plumbing Products, one of the United States’ largest manufacturers of sanitary ware products, will expand its U.S. production in 2013.
The company said it will invest more than $9 million to expand its Perrysville sanitary ware manufacturing capacity by 50%. Since the expansion is being completed within the existing footprint of the facility, it is far more affordable than a greenfield expansion, which would cost more than four times as much, the company said.
The expansion will create approximately 150 jobs over the next three years. The company currently employs approximately 455 at its Perrysville location, plus has manufacturing plants in Big Prairie, Ohio, and Henderson, Texas.
“This expansion enables Mansfield to continue to provide superior fill rates to our customers when the market recovers and is consistent with our commitment to keeping jobs in America,” said Jim Morando, president. “It also helps satisfy the increasing preference for American-made products.”
