US LBM expands Florida presence

An acquisition caps a busy April for the Green Bay, Wis.-based pro dealer.

US LBM’s flurry of expansion announcements continued yesterday, with the addition of Coastal Roofing Supply to the US LBM family of companies.

Founded in 2009 by Tony Mila, Coastal Roofing Supply provides commercial and residential roofing materials to central Florida through its Clearwater and Rockledge locations.

“We are excited and proud to join the US LBM team and the opportunity it brings to provide our customers with continued enhancements to our product and service offering to the Florida roofing contractor,” said Tony Mila, President. “This partnership will provide a platform for growth to our associates and partners well into the future.”

“Coastal Roofing Supply is a key strategic addition to the US LBM team, further expanding our roofing supply business in the Southeastern region,” said Jeff Umosella, COO of US LBM.  “The dedicated and knowledgeable team at Coastal enjoy success by providing a local feel and focus to their customers, which aligns perfectly with the goals of US LBM.  We are excited to partner with Coastal Roofing Supply and look forward to continuing and expanding on their past achievements while also focusing on growing their product and customer base.”

Coastal carries a full line of shingle, metal, and tile roofing, waterproofing products, specialized tools, accessories, and more.

The announcement caps a busy April for the Green Bay, Wis.-based US LBM team. It came into the month announcing the additions of Jones Lumber Company in Boca Raton, Fla.

Particularly active was the company’s Hines Supply division in Chicagoland. A news showroom in Grayslake, Ill., and the acquisition of Builders Roofing & Siding made headlines. Shortly afterwards, two-unit Mike's Deck Center joined the Hines Supply team.

Also, US LBM’s Wisconsin Building Supply opened new locations in the Fond du Lac area.

“One of the benefits to working with the great team at US LBM, is our ability to react and make solid decisions quickly,” said Mike Kauchak, marketing manager. “This allows us to accomplish many things at once . Every day is exciting to say the least… and there’s plenty more happening down the road."
