Sherwin-Williams to upgrade DC

Sherwin-Williams has unveiled a plan to double the size of its distribution center in Rockford, Ill., according to the Rockford Register-Star newspaper.

The company plans to take the facility, which includes a powder paint plant, to 66,000 square feet from its current size of 34,000 square feet.

The Rockford plant employs about 49 people, according to the report.

In addition to serving as a distribution center, the adjacent powder paint plant produces industrial and commercial coatings.
