New Honeywell Bluetooth Smart Air Purifier senses local pollen counts

Honeywell Bluetooth Smart True HEPA Allergen Remover

Honeywell is shaking up the home appliance scene with its new Bluetooth Smart True HEPA Allergen Remover, what it claims is the first air purifier using Bluetooth technology that can track local pollen counts.

The purifier uses mobile app technology to track pollen lelvels and auto-adjust its cleaning levels according to the zip code. The resulting insight aims to help homeowners differentiate the causes of their air quality issues, which are often comprised of a mixture of indoor and outdoor contaminants.

Beyond the pollen count auto-adjust feature, the Bluetooth Smart True HEPA Allergen Remover also alerts homeowners of outside pollen and mold levels and automatically turns on or off when the connected mobile device enters or leaves Bluetooth range.

Other features include a custom operation schedule, which allows users to create various schedules based on sleep, time away or time spent in certain areas of the home. It also notifies users when the filter needs to be changed.
