Milwaukee develops heated jacket

Milwaukee Electric Tools Corp. today announced it has added a new, unique feature to its M12 sub-compact battery system, with the new M12 Cordless Heated Jacket.

The new jacket features three sewn-in carbon fiber heating zones, strategically placed in key areas, to warm the user’s core. It can be set to high, medium or low with the touch of a button on the lapel. The jacket is also water- and wind-resistant to provide comfort and durability in harsh environments.

“The opportunities to use this product are endless,” said Robert Shaw, product manager, M12 Cordless Tools for Milwaukee Electric Tool. “Electricians, plumbers and service technicians are just a handful of industry professionals who face adverse cold weather conditions during the fall and winter months. Another great advantage of this product is its versatility on and off the job site. Users can go from wearing this jacket in the blistering cold of a winter job site to wearing it in their free time while hunting, fishing, skiing or tailgating.”

The battery remains hidden in a back pocket and provides heat for up to six hours.

The company said it will continue to grow its M12 cordless line with new innovative tools.
