Lumber Yard names new president

Michael O’Brien has been named president of Lumber Yard, the nine-unit lumber and building materials distributor division of Wolf Organization, headquartered in York, Pa.

O’Brien has been with The Lumber Yard since 1991, starting as a driver and progressing through multiple positions, including location manager, director of the Millwork Center, regional vp and vp-operations.  O’Brien’s immediate priority will be implementing Lumber Yard’s new XL operating model created in 2007, the company said in a statement.

Additionally, Mel Lebo has been named vp-operations.  Lebo started with The Lumber Yard in 1971, and has held multiple management positions, serving most recently as vp of real estate, fleet and safety.
