Canadian retailer and distributor RONA has invited Canadians to Plant Your Feet across the country, in celebration of the Summer Olympics, which kick off in London July 27.

A Canadian team sponsor, RONA is hosting an open ended 5,515 kilometer collective relay, and will plant a tree for every kilometer run.

“As a proud partner of the Canadian Olympic Team, we are inviting our customers to show their support for our Canadian Olympic athletes and help improve the environment with a relay,” says Karim Salabi, Executive Vice President, Marketing at RONA.  “Whether you run one kilometre or walk 10, every step counts, and we encourage everyone to show their support for the Canadian Olympic Team and reforestation programs across the country this summer by getting involved in the RONA Relay.”

The RONA Relay promotional event runs through Aug. 9.
